Anti-ragging Cell

UGC Regulations as per the Directives of the Supreme Court

Ragging constitutes one or more of any of the following acts as per the UGC act:

  • Any conduct by any student or students whether by words spoken or written or by an act which has the effect of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness a fresher or any other student.

Punishments

Depending upon the nature and gravity of the offence as established, the possible punishments as per UGC Section 9 for those found guilty of ragging at the institution level, shall be any one or any combination of the following:

  • Suspension from attending classes.

Grievance Redressal Cell

A Grievance is any discontent or dissatisfaction, whether expressed or not, whether valid or not, arising out of anything connected with the Institute that a student thinks, believes, or even feels, is unfair, unjust or inequitable.

Objective:

  • To ensure that necessary actions should be prompted for better redressal of Grievance.
  • To make the redressal process fair, impartial, consistent, with prior warnings and commensurate with gravity of misconduct.
